Dormer Pramet is implementing an overall weighted average pricing increase of 1.9% to orders placed on or after January 2, 2017.
Mahr is implementing a price increase on their Precision Gage products, effective November 28th. The increase will be about 2-3% on most items and Mahr’s normal grace period will start on November 28th and end on December 31, 2016. Existing blanket orders will be priced as originally assigned, but new blanket orders will be accepted at the new pricing.
Construction jobs grew by 11,000 during October, while manufacturers lost 9,000 jobs during the month. Mining and logging jobs also fell by 2,000 jobs in October. Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 161,000 in October and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.9%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
